DKT Philippines Foundation Conducts Free Bilateral Tubal Ligation in Botolan, Zambales
In a bid to provide wider access to modern family planning options, the DKT Philippines Foundation conducted a two-day Free Bilateral Tubal Ligation program in Botolan, Zambales last March 28 to 29. The initiative, which was supported by the local government of Botolan and the Commission on Population and Development, aimed to provide women with a safe and effective method of permanent contraception.
The program successfully provided services not just to the residents of Botolan but also to members of the indigenous groups. The program was conducted by a team of licensed medical professionals who performed the procedure with utmost care and safety protocols.
